“eclectic” Collection::

Design Brief

❝ a collection of women’s clothing that inspires softness and funkiness for the stereotypical fashionista. Women between the age of 20-25 who can embrace a bold statement.❞

STYLE 1:: Chartreuse Polka Dot Trousers

description

The aim for these trousers was to create something that most people would see as a statement, and make it everyday.

With this in mind, I kept the design simple, while still enhancing the natural beauty of the fabric with the interlining..

Keeping the hardware invisible was meant to only embrace the pattern and spring-like color of the chartreuse.

STYLE 2:: Tweed Corset Dress

description

My first original design.

I love the feeling of a corset on the body. The wrapped fabric leaves me feeling posed, comforted and feminine.

Adding a skirt only emphasized those emotions.

The added zebra print ruffle was a node to my first fashion mentor Anthony Ogunkoya Ogunlanoh (@muddalandant)

STYLE 3:: The Alice Skirt

description

I got this fabric on sale at a Turkish Market in Berlin, Germany. It was my last day and I knew I had to leave with something.

Using my first self-drafted pattern, I made mistakes that left me with something so unique!

From the funky pattern to the diverse buttons, it only reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.

Hence the name.

STYLE 4:: Tweed Corset Mini Skirt

description

A fun twist on the original “Tweed Corset Skirt” I enjoyed adding a brighter tone with the fabric.

Changing the lacing with a neon pink and beige beads instead of brown.

Changing the location of the closer simple allows you to view the details.

STYLE 5:: Fresa y Chocolate Corset

description

Mastering the beauty and simplicity of the corset.

The challenge included using selected fabrics from my sister.

The color way of the lining and the lacing forced me to think of chocolate and strawberries.

Hence the name.
